Community Free Meal

First Baptist will be hosting the Free Meal at Grace Church on Wed., November 20th. We are looking for groups and/or individuals that would like to be “hosts” for the Free Meal. Being a Host involves meal-planning, grocery list and donation list planning, purchasing some groceries, preparing and serving the meal, and clean-up. There is a group of volunteers that help with preparation, cooking, and clean -up. You won’t be doing this alone.

You will be reimbursed for any item purchased. Denise Chandler and Cindy Border are available to help with any and all of these steps, especially planning with numbers served, etc. There is a sign-up sheet on the narthex window for those interested in hosting sometime in 2025. Prayerfully consider helping with this ministry to our community. If you would like to make a monetary donation, checks can be written to First Baptist Church with “Free Meal” written on the memo line. Thank you for your generosity. May God continue to bless and keep you.

November Mission-United Ministries

The First Baptist Church Mission focus for November 2024 is Fulton County United Ministries. This valuable organization, established and incorporated in 1998 in Indiana, in cooperation with the downtown Rochester Circle of Merchants and many other area churches is unified in serving people in need with a food pantry as well as help- ing those who need payment for bills and/or rent. The homeless are also served here (625 Pontiac Street, Rochester). This single address is im- portant so that the needy can just go to one place for assistance. As we are reminded throughout the Bible the righteous give generously and the Lord blesses those who give generously (Psalm 37, Matthew 7, Acts 14:17, 1 Timothy, and Philip- pians 4:19) among many other verses. To make a donation, please write your check out to First Bap- tist Church with “United Ministries” written on the memo line.
